Quan Yin on Handling Disappointments

Quan Yin

Rob: So I have Quan Yin, but she’s not on the dragon. She’s on the lotus blossom. Interesting. Okay.

Quan Yin, thank you for coming to speak with me, to speak to us. In a previous session today, I heard a question about how could/should we handle disappointments as they arise? So I’d love to hear your thoughts on that.

Quan Yin: Hello, Rob. Hello, all. As always, it is such a pleasure to be able to speak with you in this way. And thank you for receiving me.

You were correct in your analysis of disappointment. It’s really coming from a place, or that it only arises, when events of the world or events in your life do not happen the way that you expected — or as your teammate rightly pointed out, events as you WANTED them to occur — that all of this is really your attempt to control events. We often do this, even unconsciously. We have expectations. We have beliefs about what the will of Heaven is, about how events should unfold, and we develop expectations about those events and how they should unfold. But this is not always the most prudent way forward.

It’s very difficult for humans to fully understand the will of Heaven, the plan, the Divine Plan, and how all events should unfold for the greatest good of all. So it’s easy to fall into the trap of wanting something to happen, to unfold in a particular way, but this is really you exerting your own sense of control over the situations. And then, as you know, anytime you try to exert your control, it usually doesn’t work out the way you think or the way you expect.

So you were correct in discerning that the antidote to control is trust, trust in the Divine Plan. And you get there, you learn that trust, by surrendering yourself to the Divine Plan, even when you do not understand the fullness of what that plan entails. You are simply trusting that all will work out for the greatest good of all, even if you cannot see what that is for all.

It will be easy in the coming days to fall into this trap. Events are unfolding in your lives, on planet, out in a greater society and world events, that many will find disturbing, so there will be a natural tendency to have expectations about what all that means, how it should unfold, what the ramifications of any event should be. But again, there is a subtleness to this, that that is simply attempting to exert your own control, based on your own beliefs, which at this stage is not necessarily from a place of the highest perspective with the greatest good of all concerned.

And then, of course, there is also the possibility of being disappointed with yourself, that as you come to learn and witness events unfolding in a way that was different than what you expected, to get down on yourselves, to be disappointed with yourselves for not understanding the fullness of the plan. Patience! Be patient with yourself. Be compassionate for yourself. You are not meant to understand the full plan.

Personal Guide Malia on Making the Prudent Decision to Receive

Rob: I’m in my sacred landscape, just walking along, and I see up on the right the little round, marble, colonnaded temple, where the Font of Purity is. And as usual, the one that I meet there is my guide, Malia. She’s the golden-haired Angel, with wings.

Okay, I’m greeting her, and she’s suggesting to me to drink a bit of water from the font [to] restore in me that sense of purity, our original purity.

So thank you, Malia, any words about prudence … or anything else?

Malia: Good day, Rob. Good day and greetings to you all.

Yes, this is a reminder that you should spend more time coming to the font, resetting yourself, letting all the cares of the world just disappear, coming back to the reminder of your own state of purity. The core of your being is that state of purity, and this font, this temple that you’ve constructed here, is simply a reminder, a way of getting you back to that place, mentally and emotionally, to reconnect with your spirit, and of course, to all of us.

So we collectively suggested that prudence be the topic of discussion for today, although I would argue that it is a topic for every day. Prudence is understanding what you should be spending your time focusing on, discerning what is good for you, for your state of mind, where you are at the moment.

You were reading earlier today about a flower — i.e. when a flower blooms, it faces the sunshine. It doesn’t do anything but gather up the warmth and the blessings of the energy coming from the sun. It doesn’t do any more than that, other than to simply express its own beauty for what it is.

And receiving that energy, that blessing, at all times, this is all any of you need to do — nothing more than that. Just receive. Just open yourself to receive the energies coming in from the sun, from your environment, from the energies coming from deep cosmic sources. It’s all the same.

It’s all coming for you to reset you, to bring you back to this state of purity, of just being part of the grand creation of God and your part in it. You are part of that creation. You are an expression of that creation. So often you allow life to get in the way of that understanding.

So it is prudent to remember to come back to that place, the core of your being, that state of purity, that pearlescent white and just receive the energies. Allow that to fill you up. That act alone will serve to protect you against all negativity in any form that it may arise, for if you are solid in your core, then nothing can touch you.

St James on Maintaining a Sense of Prudence

Rob: I’m seeing James, walking me to the Rainbow Bridge, which in my landscape is a little bridge over a little creek, running down to the water. Huh … we’re stopping on the bridge. I guess we’re gonna have a conversation right here.

St James: Greetings, all. This is James. Yes, James the Apostle. And as you rightly discerned, there were many James in the company in and around Yeshua, but I am coming to you as James, son of Thunder, son of Zebedee, brother of John the Beloved.

And as you well know, my experience then, in that life, as you would consider it, didn’t end all that well. Yes, I was put to death early, but none of that matters now. If anything, that is simply a testimony that being rather brash can get you into some trouble! Perhaps [it’s] wise to be more prudent, to make conscious decisions about how you’re going to proceed, how that will be received.

So we stopped here on the bridge today to make a point that prudence is really an implementation of the sense of balance. So as we stand here in the center of the bridge, at the high point, it is a point of balance, neither this side nor that, but finding that middle ground where you can see more clearly, perhaps even in an elevated position above the ground on each side, so you can survey which way is the way to go from a more clear vantage point.

In these times in which you live, where there is so much going on, there is so much to stimulate you all of the time, this is the time of returning to that place of balance, maintaining that place of balance within yourself. Yes, your teammate is correct: [it is] being present.

For you, Rob, this would be a most valuable lesson to remind yourself every day to just be present in that moment. For when you ARE present, when you ARE in that place of being somewhat detached from the events that are happening in the world, then you DO find yourself in that place of balance, naturally. And once in that place of balance, then the blessing of prudence is a natural outcome, because then you can see more clearly how you should proceed at any given moment.

But the first step is to separate yourself from whatever is going on around you, whatever stimulation there is that’s pulling at you, that’s grabbing for your attention. Step back, breathe, feel, and hold that place in your heart where you can see more clearly. I think you know all of this, but it is also true that you know you don’t spend as much time as you should, perhaps keeping yourself in that place of presence.

So with that, we’ll see if anyone has any questions for me.

Yeshua on Prudence and the “One Thing”

Rob: I see myself sitting on top of the pyramid, at the top step, which is where I usually meet Yeshua these days. This is Yeshua.[Chuckles] If you guys saw the Batman movies, there’s a line in that movie where the Joker says, “Why so serious?!” He just said that.

Okay, Yeshi, the card on Prudence jumped out at me. I’m feeling that there’s probably a lesson here for me … maybe for all of us. Whatcha got?

Yeshua: Hello, all. Yes, this is Yeshua, Yeshi, your brother, here to just remind you that all of these human events, yes, they’re just happenings. They’re just something to work through on your journey.

Yes, most often they have a purpose, but your teammate in her wisdom is coming to realize you don’t have to know what that purpose is. You can endeavor to plumb the depths of that if you wish, but it’s not necessary.

At the soul level, you know. You know why it’s happening; it’s all for a reason. It’s just something to work through while you’re here. As she said, trust. Trust in the plan. Trust that you are part of it. Trust that you are, in fact, fulfilling your portion of that plan … and from our perspective, doing so admirably.

We are all in such awe of all of you there, doing exactly what you set out to do in coming to this life at this time for the transition that is RAPIDLY taking place on planet, right now. And isn’t that an opportunity, an occasion for joy?! Think of what is coming and what YOU have done to help that come to be, to come to pass.

Yes, with regard to the card on Prudence, there are lessons here. Even though you know, should know, hope you know, that you are fulfilling your part of the grand plan, there is a need to pace yourself, to go through this life with a sense of prudence, being discerning about when to move forward, when to hold back.

And these events will happen in your life as they need to. Sometimes it’s your decision. Sometimes it’s by agreement with your guides, with all of us, to help you take care of the things that you need to pay attention to, that perhaps you are letting slip.

All of it is for a reason. There is a grander plan. And that’s why the system is set up the way it is, that you have guides who help you stay on that track. Life and physicality has so many distractions to pull you off of that path, that want to pull you off at that path, but we are here to help you stay on track. More often than not, you make the decisions appropriately to fulfill what you came here to do, but sometimes we have to orchestrate events to pull you back.

Not that any of it is wrong; there is no right or wrong. It is simply a matter of the rate of progress towards the eventualities of the plan.

Prudence is making a decision before events happen about whether you should put your energy in a particular place or not, to a particular event. But even if you’re going through life without regard to what comes next, life will happen. These events will happen because you have agreed before you came into this life that this is what should happen, this is what must happen.

And, yes, at the soul level you have agreed, so consequently, they happen. So prudence is simply making those decisions consciously as you are going through this life. But again, it’s not a test. There is no right or wrong.

It all happens as it must. It all happens according to its own timing. And we will help; we are always here to help ensure that you stay on that track, on that path, that you have agreed to, with us. If you need to slow down more so than you are doing, if you need to put your attention in an area that you’re neglecting, we are there to assist.

It may not feel like assistance at the moment when you are in it and experiencing it, but as you are so wisely discerning, when you view all of this from a higher perspective — yes, that perspective that you, in fact, are one with all in the universe, all events that happen, and all other forms of life that exist — then you begin to understand how beneficial it all is in the long run. But again, you don’t need to understand all of that as you are going through it. At the soul level, you know.

And we are always here to support you. All you need do continually is understand that you are loved. We all admire you so much for all that you do and, in the end, that you are love. When we say you are one with all, you are one with love, for love is all that there is.

That can be a difficult concept to wrap your head around, as you say, but as you contemplated, as you said at the beginning, Rob, that becomes easier and easier. And the grand lesson of life is THAT ONE THING!

So I will stop at this point and see if anyone has any questions for me.
