Quan Yin on the Need for Active Compassion

Rob: I’m calling in Quan Yin. She’s sitting on the lotus flower.

So thank you, Quan Yin, for joining me. I was thinking, based on the things I was reading, the word “compassion” came to me, and then, of course, that caused me to invite you in. So what do you have for me?

Quan Yin: Greetings, all, dear ones. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to speak today.

This is somewhat of a reminder that during these times of so-called chaos, now is not the time to shrink away, to hide yourself, to hunker down, as it were, and let the storm pass. There are too many out in the world who need your help, who need your compassion.

Now is the time to reach out, to just be there for another, to show them that they are seen, that you know what they are going through, and that all of this, no matter what is happening in the world, no matter what is happening within their own belief systems about what is happening in the world, you have been there. You got through it, and so will they.

And you will come out on the other side much stronger, much more solid in your own belief about what is important. Most of what happens in the world is really of no consequence in the grander scheme of the Divine Plan. It is really about you coming to understand who you are, and once you have that, helping others through that same process. This is the act of compassion.

And again, it is not sitting in a room by yourself in isolation, waiting for the storm to pass. It is actively engaging those around you, however you find them, however they find YOU. They WILL find you. They will see your light and be drawn to it, as the lighthouses that you are.

And you will help them, help them understand who they are, and that all that is happening in the external world is simply there to help them come to that understanding. It may not be comfortable. The storm may be rough, but they will come through it.

They will find that light within themselves, and that is the key, to point them within themselves. You know this. You are doing it. All of you are doing this each and every day, whether you think you are doing it overtly or not. It’s a beautiful thing to see, and we are so grateful for you, all of you, for being there, for taking on this role. And you are doing so well.

Don’t forget to have fun in the process. As you just read that passage from Yeshua, to find the joy that is underneath all trials, for it is there. If you look hard enough, you will realize what the blessing is, and with the blessing comes the joy and the gratitude for what it has brought you.

And of course, we are always here. If you need to have a temporary respite from the turmoil, call on us. We’ll go for a ride on the dragon. I know you like the feeling of the wind in your face. It is always there. We are always here.

So I will leave you with that thought. Go with our eternal blessings and gratitude and love. Farewell for now.

Personal Guide K’lar on Life as an Adventure of Experiences

K’Lar

K’lar: This is K’lar. I come this evening to remind you all that this life, any life, including the new ones coming in, it is all a grand adventure. They speak of various times in the past as ages of exploration, but every life, every time period in the history of humanity, is its own age of exploration, for all of you, exploring more and more of who you are, why you are here, why this world is set up the way it is, to give you the experiences that you desire. Every bit of it is simply to have an adventure, and therefore to have fun.

Humans tend to become fixated a bit on the physical, the illusion of the happenings around them, find it difficult, perhaps even painful. Keep coming back to the idea that this is just an adventure, and to be fun, to be joyous, to bring to you more and more understanding of who you are, what is possible in this realm of physical.

Physicality is a time of joy with the new baby coming in to this family, but in reality, to the family of humanity,  Such events are an expression that, yes, life will carry on. Isn’t it wonderful?!  Thank you for allowing me to speak.

Rob: We, all of us, seem to be in a period of having so much to do, so many, what feels like, obligations and the difficulty of fitting them all in. Is there some guidance you have for us about how we should handle this?

K’lar: So these events in your life that you are referring to — and by you, I mean all of you — these events that you refer to as commitments or obligations, they are only that because you have agreed to undertake them, to fulfill them. These, of course, are your choices, and you choose them because they are events, they are experiences that can bring you joy in the fulfillment of them.

So whether it is finding time to take a walk; finding time to put in your garden, to tend to your garden; finding time to go sailing; finding time to care for a loved one; these are all things that you want to do because they bring you joy. They are part of your service to others, but more importantly, to yourself. And as you undertake them, find the joy in just the doing of it.

Don’t feel pressured by the time. Time is meaningless. Enjoy it for its own experience. And with each experience, as you go through that, make it the experience of a lifetime.

Archangel Raphael on the Budding of Spring

AA Raphael: Greetings, all. Yes, this is Raphael, the Archangel of Emerald Green.

This is the time of year of the budding of the greenery all around you. I come today at this time of the hope, of the budding of Spring. It is such a time of hope, of, yes, new beginnings. You have all waited patiently through the long months of winter in the chrysalis, ready to take flight as butterflies … or any other creature you desire.

So as you look out on the landscape, wherever you are, take note of the budding green trees, the grass coming back to life, all of it as a promise of new life, of a new creation in its own cycle. And think of me. Think of the healing that that brings, not just to the physical processes involved in that life, but the healing of your very soul [with] the hope of new beginnings.

And of course, with Spring, this is the time of taking action. It’s a time to stretch, to get back out there, and show yourself to the world, no longer hiding in your own homes. And that is particularly poignant for this year; again, this is the year of truth.

So it is time to put yourself out there, to show yourself as the brilliant teachers that you are. And no, I do not mean having to teach in any formal way. You are teaching each and every day with everyone that you meet, whether you actually speak to them or not — just your presence and showing them all what that hope of life looks like, feels like, knowing that all will be well.

You’ve got this. This is why you’ve agreed to come at this time, in this age. We are all here to support you. So go forth with that confidence, knowing that we are all here. How could anything go wrong? There is no such thing as going wrong.

As was said earlier, it is all unfolding according to the Mother’s plan. Yes, each of you and your individual plans are all part of that. You’ve agreed to that long before you came here and set foot into this particular life.

Just feel into your heart, that energy center of green. Feel the life blooming there, starting there. It is the core of your being. Everything that you do, including every thought that you have, emanates from your heart, from that space. Humans choose not to see that, and have actually done everything they can to disconnect from that, but it cannot be true.

Your task is as simple as living from your heart, living from that space, feeling your way through life, and having fun with it. None of this need be serious.

Yes, the outside world seems like it is such a serious place, [with] so much bad news, so much worry. For what? It is all unfolding exactly as it should. This is a time of joy, so have fun.

Next Spirit Cafe, Sat. 11 Jan 2025

The December 2024 Spirit Cafe discussion focused on Joy, and remarkably we spent the entire hour on that one topic — normally, we start with one topic and then meander wherever spirit seems to take us.  But Joy is such a rich topic, one that everyone wants to experience, we just couldn’t leave it!  After all, who couldn’t use more joy in their life?!

We discussed that while happiness and joy are related, there is a difference.  After hearing the wisdom of so many, I arrived at the conclusion that happiness is the temporary, outward expression of the more permanent, inward experience of Joy.  Got it.

Then, we talked about how feeling gratitude is a gateway to joy.  So, that got me thinking … how are happiness and gratitude related to joy and love?  Of course, being a nerd at heart, I was reminded of Star Wars Master Yoda’s assertion about Love’s opposite, Fear:

Fear leads to hate.

Hate leads to anger.

Anger leads to suffering.

So, perhaps there is an analogous progression for joy … and this is what I came up with:

Happiness leads to gratitude.

Gratitude leads to love.

Love leads to joy.

Quan Yin on Just Having Fun!

[With all the news of such turmoil in the world, I just wanted to have some fun … and Quan Yin was more than happy to accommodate!  — Rob]

Rob: I don’t know who this is going to be. I don’t even know what it’s going to be about. All I know is I want it to be fun — nothing too heavy. … I know who it’s going to be — Quan Yin. I see her coming in, riding on the dragon.

Quan Yin: Well, hello, Rob! You said you wanted to do something fun, so let’s just go for a ride. Come on, hop on board. Let’s go. We can talk while flying. You didn’t get to go sailing this weekend due to the weather, but that’s okay. You can take a ride on a dragon anytime you want. When it’s pouring rain outside, climb into your comfy chair [and] just go for a ride.

And as with sailing, just feel the wind on your face, see the sunlight shimmering on the water, see the patterns in the clouds. Life doesn’t need to be any more serious than this.

As others have said, it’s all a projection. It’s whatever it is that you want to make it. If you’ve had enough of the day-to-day world, as it were, and you just want to go have some fun, then do that. Let your imagination run wild, but in doing so, remember this is just as real to you, to your mind, as anything that you’re experiencing in the so-called “real world,” for it is no more real. The trick is convincing yourself of that.

And I would suggest that the more you take such opportunities to play, to allow your imagination to run wild, that over time, more and more, you will realize it’s all the same.

You get to choose the experiences you want to have, and this will be so important for the days to come. As you acknowledged at the beginning, events are happening in the world quickly now. It’s getting a little crazy. This is all necessary. The systems that have been put in place by the collective of humanity for so long are all starting to collapse, to come to their natural end.

But even in using the word “collapse,” that’s nothing … should be nothing fearful. [There should be] no sense of destruction — they are simply coming to their natural end. The old systems that no longer serve must come to an end to make way for that which is SO much better, so much more enjoyable and uplifting and supportive of all of humanity!

So while it may feel tense for some in the process, just keep coming back to [the fact that] YOU get to choose what the new will be — all of you collectively. What is it that you want life to be? It can be anything. You’ve heard it many times before: dream big, for nothing is out of reach.

You all, in particular, are there to convince others how much fun this process can actually be … so long as you don’t get wrapped up in the illusory events that are playing out in front of you. Let them come; let them go. Watch it as you would watch a movie, except as you’re sitting there in that darkened theater, you get to choose what happens next … and the universe will respond. Have fun with it.

And if at all gets to be a bit overwhelming, again, find that comfy chair, pull up a dragon, hop on board, and let’s soar through the clouds, anytime you choose. I hope you can all find your own dragon or your own magical creature, whatever that may be.

The Magdalena on Hope

[Since my last posting was Lao Tzu talking about the Balance between Hope and Connectedness, it makes sense to me to follow up with a message on each of those individually — this one on Hope (from Mary Magdalene).  — Rob]

Rob: I drew a card earlier on Hope from the Magdalena, so I’m thinking we’re going to have a conversation with her. Magdalena joins me from my right side. She’s almost skipping — kind of jumping — her way over.

Mary, thank you so much for joining me. You’re clearly in a good mood today. Do you have any messages for me?

Magdalena: Oh yes, Rob. Thank you so much. This is such a great day! I hope you spend the day in a state of joy, for what is there not to feel joyful about? You’re with your dear friends; you’re having a good time; communicating with all of us: what’s not to enjoy?!

You drew the card today of Hope. I would like to say a few words. Hope is intimately tied with the feeling of Joy, for in the feeling of Hope, how can one not feel joyful? Hope is rooted in the understanding that you ARE One, that you are part of the Mother’s Divine Radiance, the part of that Universal Love that animates everything. That knowing is inherently hopeful. All will be right with the world, with your life, with your relationships, your partnerships. It all comes from the same place.

And, yes, as you surmised, it’s all tied together with balance and humility and alignment and surrender and your deepest passions. I embodied all these qualities, and so do you. So do all of you. Go within as often as you think of it, and feel them. Feel each of those. They’re all tied together.

But just as the Keys of Heaven are all rooted in Love, the Keys to your sweet Self are all rooted in Hope, that you are one with each other and with heaven.

Again, I come back to the beginning. How can this not fill you with a sense of Joy with each and every breath? Life is meant to be fun. And it can be, will be, it is, as soon as you accept this — your role in it, in the world, in the basis of your very existence. You are here to be an expression of Joy. And in sharing that with everyone enough, you are then an expression of Hope.

We love you all dearly. And we are so happy for the progress you’re all making in rediscovering yourselves.

With that, I throw you all the biggest hug! With our love, farewell.

A Simple Choice

Jennifer: Archangel Gabriel…

AAG: Gabriel-Gabrielle- whatever you enjoy hearing, speaking- call me anything you like, call me Joy for I am joy! It is my greatest pleasure showering you with sparkling bubbles, beautiful, iridescent, magical, golden bubbles. This is my way of being playful. There are many- I’m not limited to bubbles. 

But I would just come to affirm for you that one of the most potent ways that you can be prepared and, indeed, serve your brothers and sisters on the planet is through your playfulness and through your joy, because people do find it mildly attractive when others are having fun. Even if they are in the doldrums, they will say to themselves, ‘Oh, I would like to have fun too. I would like for my life to be lighter. I would like to enjoy more.’  They will feel a little sorry for themselves, perhaps, but they may realize that in fact all they have to do is choose to go forward and join the circle. 

It is a simple choice to choose joy. It is a simple choice to choose love. But one must sometimes get around the nest, the tangle, in one’s head of all the thoughts one has had, all the judgments one has had about those who have too good a time. And they’re committed to their very hard struggle through life. But as the energies lighten up as there is more and more going on. As there’s more and more changing, people will realize that it is possible to make this choice. It is that simple. And they will begin to be open to joy in surprising places. A chuckle here or there, or a funny joke, a good cartoon. 

You see, all of the avenues that you have in your world for lightheartedness, for wisdom entertaining as laughter, laughter is a great transmutation and you know this, you know how it has helped you tremendously in your lives and it continues to be brilliant for you. You see it as a brilliant material, just like your life vests, or your -what is it?-  noodles, that you play with in your pool. Laughter is a noodle – how’s that for a bumper sticker? So promote laughter, promote joy, promote fun. Promote the paradox of humor and wisdom. The wisdom of children, the beauty of laughter, the amazement of what’s amazing, the amazement of this incredible world that you live in! As our dear Francesco [teammate channeling St. Francis] has brought forward to you, the amazing beauty of the world that you live in —does it not bring you joy?

Yes, this one [Jennifer] enjoys social media because it is her great enjoyment to pass along and, sometimes, take pictures of surprising, amazing, beautiful moments in life, surprising amazing, beautiful things found on her walks. Take your camera! Begin to take pictures. You will see beautiful things. We’ll put them right in front of your eyes, if you like. She has a friend who is a tree, lives down the road. Every time she goes by she looks over at him, sees him smiling. He’s got a great big grin, two beady eyes, her friend the tree. 

You see, there are wondrous, wondrous things available to you in every moment. And if you use those as your nurturing, nurture yourself!  Fill yourself up with the beauty of those surprises that Gaia brings to you, that the Elementals bring to you, that we bring to you.  We love to craft with natural materials. Did you not know this? We do.

We are making heart rocks for you. We are making pictures in the clouds. We are bringing you untold amazement, but it’s up to you to take it in and use this as your platform, use this as your launch pad! 

Do not be in any way afraid to share with your brothers and sisters on what you call your social media. The whole fear factor is really blown way out of proportion. Truly. Where your heart goes, so will all the protection that you would ever need when you move in love, when your motivation comes from all that you are, with the desire to uplift, to serve, to share your light, your marvelous, extraordinary, individual lights, your witness of love.  If that is your motivation, never be afraid. You do not have to participate. But it is fun. It is another avenue for you to enjoy the sharing of that which uplifts you, because it will uplift,  uplift others. This builds a beautiful energy. So this is one way forward. If you choose it.  

You do know how to build energies. Day by day, one pair of eyes after another, you know how to build trust, you know how to build connection and there are many ways to further grow the radius of your contacts with your brothers and sisters. But I would suggest that you do not limit yourself to only that which you are most comfortable with. There may be some ideas that come to you that you are tempted to say ‘No, I don’t want to do that.’  But you may be, you may be being guided, by those of us who can see a little bit farther than you can, to an opportunity to expand your awareness, to expand your appreciation of the potential, the unlimited potential of every moment. So it is time to set your cautions to the side, to the extent that you can.  Let each day bring you – what it brings you. 

I am enjoying so much communing with your hearts. My words are not important at this point. It is really that I feel your hearts, I feel your love and I share mine,  so it is a moment of great joy and blessing. Thank you. Thank you for your open hearts. They radiate so beautifully. We can see them a long way off.

Archangel Gi’Anna (Gaia) on Beauty – Love – Joy

Rob: Thank you, Gi’anna (Gaia), for joining me. Do you have anything to say about beauty and how it might relate to the Infinity Keys diagram (i.e. the conjoining of the Keys to Heaven with the Keys to Self as an infinity symbol)?

AA Gi’anna: Thank you, Rob, for heeding my call. Yes, I sent you the card on Beauty. It’s just a simple reminder of a state of being, of what you’re all trying to achieve. This place where we’re meeting is a perfect example. Look at the beauty around you, sitting here in the grass, admiring the sky, admiring the landscape below you, the water, the sunshine. Isn’t this just beautiful?

As you develop your understanding of the Infinity Keys diagram, I would draw your attention to the end state, the final key of Love. As you flow around the diagram, Love is at the end, for this is the state where we all end up. In reality, it’s the state from which we all start as well, hence the notion of an infinity diagram — it never ends.

But as you’re explaining it, it ends on Love. This is the recognition that you are Love, that all in creation is born from Love, which is the Mother’s Divine Radiance, flowing with the energy from the Father.

And how do you know that you’ve achieved that state of Divine Love? Your heart can be full; you can feel the love for all that’s around you. But you witness that through Beauty.

When you can see beauty in all that’s around you, be it another person, be it in another being, a pet, an animal outside, the grass, the landscape, no matter what it is, the weather. All of that holds within it a sense, a feeling, of beauty. And when you can witness that in all that is around you, then you know you are in a state of Love, for you cannot witness the beauty and admire it without feeling the love of it at the same time. And that brings such an overwhelming feeling of joy!

So as you go about your day-to-day life — wherever you are, whatever you’re doing — look for the beauty, for Beauty is the link to Love, which leads to Joy. Does this make sense?
