Spirit Cafe is coming up on Saturday, January 13th at 11 am EST. This is our monthly open conversation about Spirituality. While we may have an opening topic (e.g. this month will be Beliefs About Money), we love to encourage participation, questions, wonderings in any direction that matters to you!

…the grandest, most precious part of my life is my Soul …
Sue Scofield
Today is the day – Day #1 of my stepping forward in a much more public way spiritually. It’s a kind of “coming out of the Spiritual closet”, if you will. I haven’t been hiding as such, I’ve simply been too comfortable being a wallflower. I’ve never been one who wanted to be the center of attention. Heck, despite the fact that I have a decent singing voice, I always thought it would be fun to be a background singer, never the main act! You know, showing a talent without having to deal with being under a microscope. You get the picture.
But, part of being an authentic, ascended Gaian means living your truth, and a part of my truth is that I’m a certified Council of Love Teacher and Coach, as are my colleagues, Soul Family members, and fellow Lighthouse Of The Soul creators/contributors, Jen, Rob, Adrienne and Paul. And, the grandest, most precious part of my life is my Soul and my spirituality.
Soooo, having said all of this, I shall endeavor to keep pushing myself closer to center stage, sharing Random Spiritual Thoughts. Who knows, maybe you’ll enjoy the “concert”! Stay tuned for show dates… High vibes to you all, Sue

A Lovely email from a new friend after last month’s CAFE:
Thank you for introducing me to your fantastic friends. Lovely group. Super conversation. I enjoyed the time together. Hope to be on the Dec. call. Fun to be with a mixed gender group and also mixed ages. They were so welcoming. Thanks again.
I want to write a little more about the spiritual perspective, the topic of Spirit Cafe for today — what does that mean for me and those I know well who apply that lens?
It means that whatever happens, whatever thoughts fill your mind, whatever beliefs you hold, you can ask the question: What is true, or what is truth- in this moment?
I always feel things starting to shift then, into a wider perspective, and that leads to an easing of the emotion, or confusion or rigid corner i sense that I have backed into. The spiritual perspective is like a breath of fresh air: spacious, serene, life-giving. It moves me out of upset into calm waters. I can move forward.
Maybe you’ve had a heated exchange, a strong difference of opinion with someone you love, and you feel hurt and fear you have also hurt them. I settle into my feelings, which at first feel too hot and turbulent, then slowly gradually, applying the question, “What does my spirit have to offer in this moment?” Or if I’m not ready for that, then just: “Isn’t this interesting? I’m feeling upset. I wonder what is really going on?”
The spiritual perspective is based in harmony, based in spirit- which is the energy of love, connectedness and light (truth). Therefore, reaching for the perspective in our troubled moments, or just when we are puzzled and unsure of ourselves, leads to forward movement- we can get on with our lives, speak the words of peace and reconciliation which restore our connection with each other –and, vitally, with our selves, our spirits, our souls. I see spirit and soul a little differently, but that’s another topic for another day. For today, I just want to invite you to join our team of soul friends, all fascinated with spiritual stuff, for our first open, free and public conversation: Spirit Cafe! Today at 11 am Eastern Time EDT. Here’s the link:
